Mega wild packed up a boat full of divers and snorkelers for a morning at South Solitary Island and So Wild kitted up all of the experienced divers and ventured North for a double dive at South Solitary Island!

South Solitary had a bit of surface chop on the Southern End of the island, so Cleaner Station was most suitable for all divers to enter the water for the first dive. Utilizing the current, everyone drifted from Cleaner Station to South Boulder for their second dive. The water was blue and warm, a nice 24°C. Three itty bitty yellow box fish were seen, potting around and peaking out for only a few! A Abbott’s Moray Eel, Cuttlefish, lots of Nudibranchs, and a massive Eagle Ray with it’s tail missing are some other notable mentions. Barney our resident Loggerhead Turtle said hello to most divers on the second dive, as she fought the current.

North Solitary also did not disappoint and definitely put on a show, and was nearly 25°C in the blue water! More Leopard Sharks were seen, showing a promising upcoming summer season as they hopefully stick around in larger numbers (and head to South Solitary) for the upcoming few months. Green Sea Turtles were also sighted, along with Bull Rays and Spotted Eagle Rays!
