29th January 2025 – Gloomy but Glorious
With a smaller number of divers today we took So Wild out to South Solitary Island, and although it was a little gloomy this morning it did not dampen the mood.
Dive one was at Buchanan’s Wall, the visibility had dropped off a bit but there was still plenty to see including Turtles, Schools of Bullseyes, Black Cod, Banded Coral Shrimp and White-eyed Morays.
Dive two was a drift from Shark Gutters down to The Gantry, The current was moving fairly well so it did not take long to get from top to bottom!!
There were 3-4 Leopard Sharks, 4-5 Bullrays, Turtles, Bluelipped Anenomes, Nudibranchs, Painted Crayfish and and Octopus near The Gantry Wreckage.
Congratulations to Shane who finished his Advanced Open Water
