2nd March 2025 – Sunday Shenanigans at South Solitary!
With a foreboding forecast for the forthcoming few days, Megawild powered out to South Solitary to get in our last dives for this week!
First up our divers dropped in at the Gantry, during the dive a squadron of Neon Flying Squid were seen, along with Nudibranchs, Fire Gobies, Green Turtles, five very flirty Eagle Rays and six very friendly Leopard Sharks.
For our second dive our divers descended on Buchanan’s Wall. On the way to Cable Trail our divers were greeted by a Sandbar Shark, other highlights included Nudibranchs (most notably an unnamed Nembrotha Sp., today’s photo) Long-Legged Spiny Lobsters, Peppermintr Shrimp, Banded Coral Shrimp, Depressed Spider Crabs, and a brief glimpse of a Silky Whaler!
