7th October 2024- LAbour Day Dives!
SoWild ventured out this morning for a double dive, taking along a group of students finsihing their PADI Open Water Course as well as some South Solitary Regulars! We finished the long weekend off with a great time in the water!
Dive one saw the certified divers dropping in at Manta Arch for a swim through the gap, where they met the students completing their dive #3 (of the course) at the Gantry! 8-10 grey Nurse Sharks were seen in the back gutter, lots of turtles near The Gap, Chevron Barracuda, an Abbotts Moray, nudibranchs, and a couple of Wobbegongs.
Dive two was an epic drift dive! All divers got in at Shark Gutters and cruised down to The Gantry in the current. This dive saw Eagle Rays, Bull Rays, Barney (again!!!!) and some more Green Turtles, lots of Trumpet Fish, Batfish at the mooring, Blue Tangs and Wide Banded Anenome Fish. We stopped for some lovely whale watching on our way home too!
Congratulations to Michael, Chelsea, and William for completing their PADI Open Water Diver Course!! Yew
