8th October 2024- Beautiful Visibility today
Before the winds picked up, SoWild had an early and quick morning packing up and shooting out to South Solitary for amazing doube dives! We arrived to some fantastic visibilitiy- so good you could see the bottom of the mooring from the surface at Manta Arch!
Dive one saw divers dropping in at Manta Arch. Lots of Sharks were around, probably around a dozen in between the Arch and the Back Gutter! Divers also saw a Green Sea Turtle on descent, a Bull Ray, and a very special (relatively juvenile) Clown Triggerfish! It’s not often we get these at the island so we felt it was a treat!
Soups and teas were served on the surface interval and we jumped back in for a second dive at Shark Gutters, where most of us rode the current down Boulder Wall to surface at South Boulder!
There was a lovely school of fish inside of Cleaner Station Gutter, creating a thick wall up against the cave! Diver also saw a Wobbegong, and a massive Octopus next to it hiding itself in the rock crevasse. Black Cod were seen, an Eagle Ray, loads of different Nudibranchs, as well as some White Eyed Moray Eel!
Congratulations Bryan for completing your PADI Open Water Course today!
