Atomic Aquatics BC2 BCD
Atomic Aquatics BC2 BCD is designed to be the toughest performance back-inflation BCD in the world. It’s the back inflation evolution of the acclaimed Atomic BC1. It incorporates the same futuristic, tought, corrosion resistant materials as the jacket-style BC1. The BC2 is a radical variation of design on the conventional back inflation BCD.
The BC2 redefines traditional BC design, with every detail and every feature rethought, and redesigned. The new Atomic BC2 is designed for the diver who wants the absolute BEST available. According to Atomic Aquatics: “We wanted a World-Class BC… so we designed one.”
Atomic Aquatics BC2 BCD Design
The BC2 is crafted using a unique double-laminated polyurethane-coated fabric and corrosion-resistant metals. The attractive matte-coated fabric sheds water so the BC2 is virtually DRY seconds after surfacing. This exclusive Atomic Aquatics BC series fabric is incredibly strong and
durable to provide years of confident diving. It holds nearly double the pressure of standard BC materials, is virtually impenetrable and resists abrasion, tears and punctures. Self-cleaning, UV and stain-resistant, it also resists chemicals, mold, rot and mildew.
PATENTED EZ-LOK WEIGHT SYSTEM
The BC2 also features the exclusive Atomic Aquatics EZ-LOKWeight Release System. This system enables divers to quickly and easily load weights while in or out of the water. Two zippered pouches each hold up to 10 pounds of hard or soft weights (14 pounds for X-Large size). Weight pouches glide into pockets under the arms and lock into place with a reassuring “SNAP.” A simple one-handed firm tug on the handle is all it takes to release. Weight pouch is secured at the BC back to prevent shifting forward. (US Patent No. 9,296,451)
CAM-LOK TANK BAND
The Ratcheting CAM-LOK Tank Band is the result of Atomic Aquatics engineers rethinking literally everything. After being implemented in the BC1 with roaring success, it made it’s way onto BC2. It allows divers to mount and secure the BC2 to a wide range of tank sizes in just seconds. The ratcheting band is similar to the bindings on ski boots and quickly adjusts without the cumbersome weaving of webbing through a buckle. Pressing the over-center buckle locks it down. The strong one-piece band is polyurethane coated and sealed from the elements so it won’t slip, stretch, or absorb water like conventional nylon webbing.
BACK INFLATION AT THE FOREFRONT OF DESIGN
The Atomic Aquatics BC2 is a radical design departure for a back inflation BC. The repairable/replaceable double inner bladder is contained within tough, beautiful waterproof fabric. Unlike most other back inflation BCs, the BC2 is neutrally-buoyant. The BC2 is incredibly comfortable. A diver feels “bolted in” becoming one with the BC, which exudes a feeling of confidence and comfort during the dive.

1. Exclusive Laminated & Coated Waterproof Fabric
Ratcheting CAM-LOK Tank BankThe BC1 is designed with customer matte finish fabric, therefore looking and feeling completely unlike any other BCD. It’s made from strong double-laminated polyurethane coated fabric to keep it extra rugged and extra tough, and can actually repel water, cutting down your drying time between dive and days.
2. Ratcheting CAM-LOK Tank Bank
This Atomic Aquatics exclusive tank band design is the easiest tank band to use. It works similarly to ski and snowboard bindings, with a click lock mechanism. No need to wet a nylon webbing band, and weave it through a buckle.
3. Patented EZ-LOK Weight Release System
The EZ-LOK is an easy to use, integrated weight system. Each of the two weight pouches holds up to 10lbs of hard or soft weights. The pouches smoothly glide into pockets, and lock with a “SNAP”. They easy release with a firm tug on the handle.
4. Quilted Backpad & Adjustable Lumbar Pad
This BCD features a quilted backpad and adjustable lumbar pads, which enables a diver to adjust for their own most comfortable fit. The BC1’s carrying handle is also concealed behind the backpad.
5. Sand Resistant Pocket Zippers
The zippers on the BC1 are self-sealing, therefore they close completely to prevent any sand or debris from getting caught in zipper teeth.
6. Titanium-Coated Stainless Steel D-Rings
Features Custom 316 Stainless Steel D-Rings with Titanium PVD Coating. These are corrosion-resistant and strategically placed for convenience.
7. Low-Profile Trim Weight Pockets
The back weight pockets hold up to 5lbs each, for improved diver profile whilst in the water.
8. Non-Skid Tank Pad
Combined with the Ratcheting Tank Bank (2.), the rigid molded tank pad and backpack provide ultimate tank security! They feature CNC-Machined Stainless Steel Hardware that is moulded to the frame.
9. “Dry Glide” Exhaust Pull Dumps & Knobs
Features Low Friction, 316 Stainless Steel Pull dumps in two locations with patent pending anti-floating pull knob, with lengthened tails.
