Gear Aid Sea Buff Mask Pre-Cleaner is an excellent product that helps you keep your mask fog-free!
New dive masks have a treatment on them to protect the lenses and keep them looking shiny! Unfortunately this silicone-like film cause the lens to fog up. Gear Aid Sea Buff Mask Pre-Cleaner carefully removes this film on new masks, and acts as a gentle cleaner for masks. Having a clean lens on your mask is the difference between a lens that will fog every minute, and a lens that stays fog free for a whole dive. Prep your mask for the first application of Sea Drops or Sea Gold anti-fog formulas, and have a clear mask for your whole time underwater.
For older scuba equipment, it can clean off dirt, sunscreen, and algae that can disrupt your anti-fog treatments like Sea drops. Simply apply some Sea Buff, rub it in with your fingers, rinse it off and dry your mask, and repeat. Sea Buff is a thin liquid cream with a micro grit. This cleans the mask lens but does not damage it.
Sea Buff is quite multi-use, also working to remove other residue accumulated on masks while diving or during storage, and is ideal for cleaning slates without harming or scratching.
