The Ocean Armour Sand-Free Beach Towel is a gorgeous and incredibly useful accessory for the avid diver, surfer, or water enthusiast.
Ocean Armour constructs these towels with sand-free, quick drying recycled material. Making them practical and environmentally friendly, a diver’s best friend!
Fabric
Ocean Armour Towels are made from recycled polyester (rPET). Creating rPET involves producing polyester with exiting materials such as plastic bottles and packaging. These materials are broken down into tiny pieces, then reformed into yarm which creates a recycled, sustainable fabric alternative. Ocean Armour then developed this fabric into a unique waffle weave.
This waffle-weave fabric has many benefits:
- Quick-drying – dries 3x faster than regular towel material
- Soft & absorbant – feels luxurious and can hold 5x its weight in water
- Antimicrobial – less washing & no damp odour
- Compact & Lightweight – folding to half the size of a regular towel
- Sand Free – One quick shake and any sand & dirt will fall off, so you can leave the beach where it belongs!
The creation of this fabric is much more environmentally friendly than standard polyester, using 90% less water, 70% less energy, and having an 80% lower carbon footprint.
Each towel is 100% recycled. Ocean Armour creates each towel with approximately 20 single-use plastic bottles.

These Sand-Free towels are 160cm x 80cm.
