PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Continue your…….. ADVENTURES IN SCUBA DIVING!

Who should take this course?
You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
How long does it take and when can I start?
The PADI Advanced Diver Course consists of 5 dives. The dives can be completed over 3 consecutive days or spread out over a period of time to suit you.
You can start now! Pick up the phone or send us an email to book. Complete your PADI Advanced Course with Jetty Dive and receive your 6th dive for free!
Where will I complete my dives?
All of our dives are completed off our world class dive boat in the Solitary Islands Marine Park.
The Solitary Islands are a group of five islands which are situated off the coast of Coffs Harbour. The Solitary Islands are a meeting point for a huge diversity of marine life, with tropical, sub-tropical and temperate species calling it home.  Expect to be diving with Grey Nurse Sharks, Turtles, GIANT Black Cod, Lionfish, Clownfish, Blue Tangs and so much more!
What will I learn?
You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives, Deep and Underwater Navigation. You will then choose the other three, for a total of five dives.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, Drift, Search & Recovery, Shark Awareness, and many more.
Is there any theory involved?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course does require a small amount of reading and a knowledge review to be completed for each adventure dive. This self study can be completed in your own time so no long theory sessions in the class room are required.
What is the PADI Adventure Diver Course?
The PADI Adventure Diver Course is a subset of the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. The Adventure Diver consists of 3 dives which can be counted towards the Advanced Diver certification. Complete your PADI Adventure Diver Course with Jetty Dive and receive your 4th dive for free!
