12 December 2024 – Blue Water Returns

While “So Wild” ventured north in search of the Crown Of Thorns Sea Stars with the Sydney Uni and S.U.R.G, Mega Wild headed to South Solitary Island in search of blue water and it delivered!!

Dive one was at Manta Arch and there was 12-15 Grey Nurse spread out between the arch and the Back Gutter, we also spotted Schooling Tarwhine, a sneaky Hammer Head Shark, Juvenile Emperor Angelfish and a very rare Juvenile Blue Ribbon Eel (which is actually Black)

Dive two was a drift from Shark Gutters down to The Gantry, this dive had loads to see including 4-5 Bull Rays, Schools of Travelly and Bullseyes and roughly 10 turtles down the wall and at The Gantry.

Amazing to see the visibility back to above 20m
