19th October 2026 – Rain or Shine, We’re Diving!
Even though it’s been a rainy day, we still headed out to South Solitary Islands today for double dives, with both certified divers and students onboard SoWild.
The first dive of the day was at Shark Gutters, where everyone had a great time swimming with plenty of Grey Nurse Sharks and Wobbegong Sharks, including a few very pregnant Grey Nurse Sharks! We also spotted lots of Black Rockcod, nudibranchs all in one spot, and plenty of schooling fish.
Mike got in for a deep dive during the surface interval, while Jenn completed her Advanced Open Water course. Swimming with a big group of barracuda and bannerfish.
For the second dive of the day, we entered at Shark Gutters and everyone swam around to exit at South Boulder. The visibility was fantastic, allowing us to see the full drop-off of the wall and everything tucked in amongst the rocks.
We came across heaps more Grey Nurse Sharks, schools of Bigeye fish amongst the rocks, and a few more nudibranchs too.
Another fantastic day of diving at South Solitary Islands
