8th March 2026 – Sunday morning dive session!
Conditions looked great for a dive today despite the forecast swell. When MegaWild arrived at South Solitary, the current was raging on the northern end, so both dives were on the western side.
First up, at Buchanan’s Wall, the fishlife was very prolific, with Kingfish circling and lots of small schooling fish.
For dive two our divers dropped in at the Gantry to try to find some Leopard Sharks.. a couple of Leopards were spotted at the gap along with the local turtles. Small stuff included shrimp, nudibranchs, Moray Eels, Flatworms and Gobies.
Congratulations to Olivia & Yukina on completing their PADI Open Water Diver Course!
Visibility: 5-10m
Water Temperature: 23 on top and dropping to 18c in deeper water.
