6th December 2024-Friday Dive at Manta Arch
Conditions on the surface were nice enough today to get to Manta Arch for our first Dive at South Solitary Island. Underwater was not a lot better than yesterday with visibility down to a low 5-10 mtrs.
As the divers went deeper, the clarity did improve to close to 10 metres but sill a bit green. On the up side, the Grey Nurse Sharks were certainly hanging about and our travelling divers loved seeing sharks up close.
Dive 2 was a drift from Shark Gutters to the Gantry with a bit of current. It gave us reduced visibility of only 5 metres when its this low we have plenty of Fish life hanging close to the bottom. Schools of Tarwhine, and Bullseyes where everywhere and just so many fish, it was hard to note them all.
Visibility 5 to 10 metres
Water temp is 18c
