We would love to have great visibility every day, but sadly, we have days when the vis is down. Today was one of those! Manta Arch was our choice on the first Dive and a milky 3-5 metres was the best vis we could get in the Area. While our PADI Advanced students went deep for the first time to 30 metres, our PADI open Water students went shallow to find some Grey nurse. We counted 8 in the shallow back gutter and 20 out deep at 30 metres.

Dive 2 was our popular drift from Shark Gutters to Gantry run. Fish were all around the bottom in the gloomy conditions, however we also saw a huge Stingray and 2 Big Bullrays cruising the wall, along with turtles at the Gap as we went past. Visibility didn’t improve, but we did see a lot of fish and the temp rose to 19c Everyone enjoyed the dives, even with low vis, and we now have 2 new PADI Open Water Divers, congratulations Milly and Lily! Also joining the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver rank is Ethan, Congratulations Ethan. Here is a pic from Nathan of the big Stingray we passed by.

Temp was 18-19c

Visibility was basic at 3-5 metres
