8th June 2025 – BACK diving
Finally we got back out to South Solitary Island for 2 dives but we were unsure what the conditions were like. Regardless everyone was super keen to get out.
Dive one was at Cleaner Station, we had cool, dirty water on the surface but clearer, warm water on the bottom. There was plenty to see including Wobbegongs, schooling Tarwhine, Black Cod, Turtles and Nudibranchs.
Dive two, the visibility dropped a little but the drift from the top end around to The Gantry proved it is one of our best dives regardless of the conditions.
Active Wobbegongs, Eagle Rays, Grey Nurse Sharks, Blue Groupers, Black Cod and a very curious Peacock Mantis Shrimp were just a few of the things spotted on the second dive
Congratulations to Jordan and Courtney who become PADI Deep Divers today
Visibility 5-10m
Temp – 20-22C
