13th August 2025-Back after 2 weeks
After two weeks of staying dry due to poor sea conditions, So Wild managed to muster a crew of divers up and we shot out to South Solitary Island for a double dive!
Surface conditions were great around the whole island so we chose to get in on the top end where its our favourite! The gutter in between Manta Arch and Cleaner Station was PACKED with Grey Nurse Sharks. Between very large Pregnant Mummas and small juveniles who are fresh to the scene, we saw around 30 of them total! Listed on the IUCN List as near-threatened ,the endangered Black Rock Cod made their appearance known today as we saw a good number of both small and large! Usually quite skittish, a massive Spotted Eagle Ray danced with us for a bit around Shark Gutters! The massive school of Chevron Barracuda were seen again! To finish off a great dive, an Adult Semicircle Angelfish was hanging around Cleaner Rock.
