SoWild packed up for a mid week boat and headed out to South Solitary! Despite the surface conditions being affected by the southerly wind and swell, everyone managed to have a fabulous double dive!

Dive one saw most divers jump in at Manta Arch for some Grey Nurse Shark Action in the Arch to finish with an ascent at Cleaner Station! Shark action is exaclty what we got today, with around a couple dozen individual Grey Nurses seen in total! On top of these sharks was a thick cloud of Chevron Barracuda, with scattered schooling Pomfrets around it. Inside of Cleaner Cave, there was a sleepy Green Turtle, having his midday snooze!

Dive two was a drift (ish) dive from the top end down to South Boulder, still managing to avoid the surface chop from the southerly. Barney and one other Hawksbill were spotted, along with a numb ray and a bull ray! More Grey Nurses were spotted, along with the usual suspects like nudirbanchs, white eyed morays, wobbegongs, and lots of black cod!

Temperature: 19°C

Visibility: 10 metres
