3rd October 2025 – Barracuda and Grey NUrse

The Southern was a little brisk this morning which made both our dives at the norther end of South Solitary Island.
Dive one was at Shark Gutters, this had 2-3 Grey Nurse Sharks near the bottom of the mooring with anoher 10-12 out in the deeper water.
The deeper water was marginally clearer but a degree colder!!! We had some big Black Cod, Painted Crayfish and school of Bullseyes near Cleaner Station.
Dive two was a drift from Shark Gutters down to South Boulder, we had a few more Grey Nurse Sharks out deep and on Boulder Wall, School of Tarwhine, and Sevron Barracuda and a cute little Mantis Shrimp near South Boulder.
