1st November – Hammer Heads Arrive
November diving is all about the hammerheads at South Solitary Island, and today delivered in style! With stunning 25-metre visibility and a perfect 21 degrees in the water, our divers were treated to several exciting glimpses of hammerheads both underwater and from the surface. Grey Nurse Sharks, bull rays and huge schools of fish made for incredible company around Cleaner Station, keeping true that this dive site always has things going on!
For Dive 2, we tucked out of the wind at Buchanan’s Wall, where the conditions were just as clear on the southern side of the island. Divers explored the vibrant macro life, spotting nudibranchs, eels and plenty of green and hawksbill turtles. A perfect way to wrap up another amazing day of diving at the Solitary Islands!
