13th November 2025- Macro Fun
With the diving we have had lately, it would be silly not to get out for a double dive this morning! With the visibility dropping quite substantially, despite the big southerly blow yesterday, we made it a macro friendly day!
Dive one was a drop in at Buchanans for most! A couple of us instructors who had the day off covered some area and swam from the top end all the way down to Buchanans. It was nudibranch central from the second you swam into the gutters til the ascent at the wall. Grey Nurses were plentiful on the top end, but sadly, we didn’t see the hammerheads on the top end. They were however over Buchanans today (most likely due to the vis). Green Turtles were out and about around the gap.
Dive two was at the gap. Bubble Shells, Spanish Dancers, Moray Eels and Abbots Eels, Old Wives, Blue Tang, Banded Coral Shrimp, Popcorn Shrimp, Slipper Cray Fish, Porcelain Crabs, and heeeeeaps more Nudibranchs were around today.
