8th December 2025- Chec Kids Enjoy Fun Dive
The marine studies class from CHEC recently completed their PADI Open Water Diver Course with us. Today was the day we got them back out for a “fun dive”, where they got to use everything they learned in the course. Mega Wild packed up and shot out to South Solitary Island for a double dive!
The top end was looking the most protected from swell and wind rolling through, so we jumped in at South Boulder for the first dive. Our second dive was in at Shark Gutters for a swim down to South Boulder. To our surprise, the conditions allowed us to have a fabulous double dive today! Grey Nurse Sharks were our highlight, as they were swimming around off of boulder wall and out deeper of cleaner station. Cleaner Station itself was very fishy, with multiple massive Queensland Groupers and Black Cod sitting inside of the gutter. Up to five different Eagle Rays were seen around Boulder Wall alongside all of the different Bull Rays we saw! There were of course a couple little cutey Turtles that we got to see too.
