3RD jANUARY 2026 – sENSATIONAL sUMMER sATURDAYS
Today was a busy day at Jetty Dive with summer in full swing and both boats heading out to South Solitary Island. Dive conditions have been excellent lately and today was no exception. Mega and So Wild dropped divers into Manta Arch and Cleaner Station where the warmer water coming in usually sees many Grey Nurse move away. Despite this Manta Arch was still jam packed with Grey Nurse Sharks, easily outnumbering divers three to one. Seeing these numbers even this late into summer is fantastic and made for some truly memorable diving.
Dive two was a relaxed drift from the top end of the island down to South Boulder Wall. Along with the huge schools of fish that live on the wall there were some massive Eagle Rays and Bullrays cruising by and plenty of turtles spotted along the way. It was an easy enjoyable dive and a perfect way to round out another great day on the water.
