Saturday 13th June – Grey Nurse Sharks Showing Up in Big Numbers.
A group of divers headed out to South Solitary this morning. On the first dive, they descended at Manta Arch, where they were greeted by 20 Grey Nurse Sharks. They are definitely here in numbers now. They swam around to Shark Gutters and, along the way, saw eagle rays, turtles, red-banded shrimp, and a school of chevron barracuda.
On the second dive, everyone got in at the top of South Solitary on the Cleaner Mooring. During this dive, the divers got to swim with more sharks, bull rays, turtles, big batfish, an octopus on the move, and a mumma and baby cray.
