13TH jULY 2027 -Picture Perfect MOnday at South Solitary!
What a fantastic day out on the ocean today! We were treated to sunny skies, crystal-clear water, and incredible visibility—you could even see the bottom from the surface. The sunlight streaming through the water created some truly beautiful light rays.
Our first dive took us to Shark Gutters, where everyone had the chance to see 8–10 Grey Nurse Sharks cruising through the site. We also spotted a lionfish in the main gutter, a moray eel tucked away in the rocks, and plenty of large schools of fish throughout the reef.
For our second dive, we enjoyed a drift from Shark Gutters around to South Boulder. The north-to-east current gradually strengthened during the dive, making for an exciting drift. One of the groups ventured into the shallows and was rewarded with the sight of several turtles hanging around the reef.
