Sunday 23rd August 2026 – Sharktastic Sunday
With SoWild packed full of students and certified divers we gunned it out to South Solitary Island. The water was beautiful and clear, if a little bit colder. However, the cold water didn’t stop the divers from having some amazing dives, with around 12 Grey Nurse Sharks around the deeper parts of Shark Gutters, Schooling batfish and some massive, pregnant Wobbegong sharks.
Dive two had us doing a gentle swim from Shark Gutters down to South Boulder mooring where the water was even clearer. Lots of life on the boulder wall today, with Painted Crays, Eagle Rays, More Grey Nurse, and some massive turtles making for some spectacular diving.
