Sunday 13th September 2026 – Superior SundaY Scuba
We embraced the excellent conditions for today’s trip out to South Solitary Island. With SoWild packed full of divers we made quick headway to the top end of the island for dive one at Shark Gutters. With good visibility and unusually warm water we enjoyed some very comfortable diving. While only a few Nurse Sharks were hanging around, we got to see some great schools of stripeys, bullseye and tarwhine. Lionfish and Banded Coral Shrimp in Cleaner Cave.
Dive two was a swim from Shark Gutters down to South Boulder mooring. While the fish were a bit quiet around the wall, there was quite a lot happening in the rocks. Lots of Painted Crayfish, Cuttlefish, Bullrays down the wall. With a few Green Sea turtles and Hawksbill turtles hanging close to the mooring line.
