11th October 2026 – Sensational Sunday Scuba
With amazing conditions for today’s trip out to South Solitary, all the divers aboard so wild were super keen to get amongst the sealife.
Dive one had divers dropping in all around the islandCertified divers at Manta Arch did a swim through the Gap to meet student divers around at the Gantry. About 30 Grey Nurse Sharks around Manta Arch. At the Gantry there was plenty of Green Sea and Hawksbill Turtles feeding in the shallows, Two of our very experienced divers got lucky enough to see a pair of ever-elusive hammerhead sharks, the first sighting of the year.
Dive two had us in the water at the top end of the island, getting in at Shark gutters, an aptly named site today with all the Grey Nurse Sharks that were hanging around. These along with some huge Wobbegong Sharks, Slipper Lobsters, yellow boxfish were some of the more unique finds on this dive.
