AOI O-Ring Silicone Grease
AOI O-Ring Silicone Grease is formulated for all camera housings. This high-grade silicone grease is specifically designed for camera O-rings, including grease-absorbing O-rings. Lower-grade silicone greases can cause O-rings to swell, making them unsuitable for use.
Why O-Rings Matter
O-rings are the most important part of your underwater camera setup. They create the watertight seal that protects your housing and camera from flooding. Regular inspection, cleaning, and lubrication help ensure reliable performance on every dive.
Proper Lubrication with AOI O Ring Silicone Grease
A clean, lightly lubricated O-ring remains flexible and seats correctly in its groove. A dry O-ring creates excess friction, which can prevent it from sealing properly and increase the risk of water entering the housing.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Rinse O-rings with fresh water, then apply a light coating of AOI O-Ring Silicone Grease. Avoid using other silicone greases, as they may make the O-ring tacky and attract dirt or debris. AOI Silicone Grease is specially formulated for camera O-rings that absorb silicone grease.
Inspect the O-ring every time you open your camera housing to change batteries, memory cards, or other components. Clean and lubricate it whenever needed, and always service it after each day of diving.
