Care & Maintenance

Never open the dive case while it is wet.

After diving in salt water, remove your Insta360 X4 and soak the closed dive case in fresh water for at least 10 minutes. Then rinse it gently under running tap water. This process removes salt deposits that could damage the waterproof seal or cause leaks. However, avoid using a strong stream of water, as excessive pressure may force water past the seals.

Before rinsing, always check that the dive case is fully closed. Afterwards, dry the exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth and allow it to air dry completely.

Before wiping the case, remove any sand or debris from the surface. Otherwise, sand particles may scratch the housing. Likewise, avoid using a hair dryer or any other heat source to speed up the drying process.

Storage

Store the dive case in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. In particular, avoid leaving it in hot or humid environments, such as inside a parked vehicle.

Do not clean the dive case with soap, detergents, alcohol, or chemical cleaning products. Instead, use fresh water only, as harsh cleaners can reduce the waterproof performance over time.
