Saturday 22nd August 2026 – Sea Turtle Saturday
Today was a busy day for us at Jetty Dive, with all hands on deck for whale watching, whale swimming and scuba diving.
While the weather was a little overcast we couldn’t ask for better sea conditions, a glassy trip out to South Solitary. First dive was with the Grey Nurse Sharks at Manta, with every diver seeing at least 3 Nurses. Octopus, Sea turtles and Moray Eels were other highlights.
Dive two was around the opposite side of the island diving at the Gantry. Lots of big green sea turtles, a Loggerhead Turtle and a whole lot of Wobbegongs enjoying the calm conditions. Whales could be heard singing to each other through the entire dive.
