The Ocean Armour Kids Hooded Towel Poncho is a great little towel for the kids!
Perfect for drying off and keeping kids comfy, these towels come in two gorgeous designs. Plus, each towel comes in a handy drawstring bag of the same design!
Fabric
Ocean Armour Hooded Towels are made from recycled polyester (rPET). This fabric is created with exiting materials such as plastic bottles and packaging. These materials are broken down into tiny pieces, then reformed into yarm which creates a recycled, sustainable fabric alternative. Ocean Armour then developed this fabric into a unique waffle weave.
This waffle-weave fabric has many benefits:
- Quick-drying – dries 3x faster than regular towel material
- Soft & absorbant – feels luxurious and can hold 5x its weight in water
- Antimicrobial – less washing & no damp odour
- Compact & Lightweight – folding to half the size of a regular towel
- Sand Free – One quick shake and any sand & dirt will fall off, so you can leave the beach where it belongs!
The creation of this fabric is much more environmentally friendly than standard polyester, using 90% less water, 70% less energy, and having an 80% lower carbon footprint.
Each poncho made from approximately 35 single-use plastic bottles, using this reclycing process, making them 100% recycled.
