The Bare Reactive Mens Wetsuit is a breakthrough in intelligent wetsuit deisgn, that’s powered by you. The Reactive series is Bare’s first dive wetsuit to combine Graphene Ultrawarmth Omnired Infared technology with the advancement of their No Stitch Technology. What this means is that you’ll experience body-responsive infared warming to maximize the power of your dive.
Bare has made a step towards sustainanbility, creating the Reactive from a clean limestone-based foam. This foam performs as well as (if not better than) traditional petroleum based neoprene, and reduces pollution. They also utilise dope-dying with fibres to cut wastewater discharge and pollution in textile operations. Plus, water-based glue rather than solvent. Water based glue performs over the life of a wetsuit while sparihg unclean toxins during manufacturing.
What has been added to the new model?
The new model of the Bare Reactive men’s wetsuit features a few more additions for comfort. The suit now has zippers on the ankles, wrists, and a comfort neck zipper to adjust the tightness around the neck.
This suit is in mens sizing, and comes in black, from sizes Small – 3XL. It comes in both 5mm and 7mm.
Looking for the women’s suit? It comes in both 5mm and 7mm, find it here!
What is Omnired Infared Technology?
Scientifically proven Omnired Infared Technology consists of 13 thermo-reactive minerals, which are woven into the fabric lining of the wetsuit. This converts body heat into infared energy, and reflects it back onto the diver. Medical studies have shown that infared energy can improve circulation, thus improving oxygen levels in the body. This enables you to use less energy to keep warm, improving overall warmth and increasing your dive time.
What is Graphene?
Bare states that Graphene is a one-atom thick layer of carbon, which is arranged in hexagonal lattice structure. At room temperature, graphine is one of the best thermal energy conductors. Graphene is strong, flexible, and lightweigth materially. The combination of all these factors is what drew bare to develop graphene into its omnired infared technology. Bare states that in lab tests graphene has shown a 5°C average temperature increase over their original OMNIRED technology.
