16th November 2024 -Deep Blue Water!
With the warm blue water hanging around MegaWild loaded up and powered out to South Solitary for some awesome diving!
First up our divers descended on Shark Gutters, where A large Hawksbill Turtle, Nudibranchs, Octopus, a small Marbled Ray, Flagtail Blanquellos, a couple of Grey Nurse Sharks and Schooling Tarwhine were seen.
After the surface interval our divers split up, with our advanced divers dropping in at Manta Arch for a swim through the Gap to the Gantry, our other certified divers dropping in at Shark Gutters for a swimmy drift dive to the Gantry, and our student divers dropping in at The Gantry. 25+ Grey Nurse Sharks were seen in Manta Arch, with a further 10-12 seen scooting around between the arch and back gutter, multiple Green Turtles were seen between the Gap and Five Metre Rock. Other highlights included Nudibranchs, Abbots Moray’s, Ken’s Cuttlefish and Banded Coral Shrimp.
