22nd December 2024- 25+ VIz and 25 Degree Water
With fantastic conditions reported from yesterdays dive, we continued on with summer holiday diving and headed out to South Solitary. With a northerly wind blowing we jumped in on the Southern End of the The Light for better-ish protection.
Dive one was at Buchanans Wall. We had about 25 metres of blue visiblity and no current. Highglights of this dive was the Dunckers Pipehorse, Nudibranchs and spanish Dancers, Dwarf Lionfish and Zebra Lionfish. Multiple species of shrimp were also seen by Nathan – Glass, Blood, Ambon Cleaner, and Banded Coral!
Dive two was a swim from Buchanan’s Wall up towards the Gantry. There were around 8-10 Green Sea Turtles seen in the Gap, school of Butterfly fish, fire gobys, an Octopus, and a very friendly blue groper.
Temperature stayed 24-25 from the surface all the way down to 30 metres. Visibility was 25-30 metres
