After the wild weather of the past week, we rejoiced the clear skies and calmer seas and headed out on “2 Wild” for a double dive!
For the first dive we headed out to Shark Gutters, exploring cleaner station too. Here we saw a very friendly blotched fantail ray , along with a few BlueSpotted Ribbontail Rays. There were huge amounts of schooling fish, an octopus just before Cleaner Station Cave. We spotted a few wobbeygongs, blue grouper, and a spanish dancer too.
In the surface interval a large turtle was taking a few breaths at the surface a few times, and we decided to head to the Gantry and The Gap in hopes of seeing some more.
At the Gantry, Barney was spotted, along with a Green Sea Turtle. There were heaps of Moray Eels, and even a few Abbott’s Moray Eels (They feature as today’s Dive Report Picture!). There were clownfish and Blue Tangs among other schooling fish. Some Nudibranches were spotted, and another Spanish Dancer. We also saw 2 Wobbeygongs!
