26th June 2018 – Sharks, Rays and So much more!!!
After a bumpy ride out to South Solitary Island, divers were keen to get into the water as surface conditions weren’t the best. The visibility was at least 20 meters, so Shark Gutters was decided for the first dive. What a dive! Our Open Water Students saw Grey Nurse Sharks, Eagle Rays and Turtles on there very first ocean dive.
Protected from the southerly wind we jumped in at the Cleaner Station for dive two. This dive didn’t disappoint either. One group of divers went down the Boulder Wall and saw the Giant Cuttlefish plus lots of Schooling Fish, Black Cod, Turtles, Eagle rays and at least a dozen Grey Nurse Sharks at Cleaner Station.
Vis 20 meters, Water temp 21 degrees.
