30th October 2020 – Still good vis at South Solitary Island
Despite a bit of Northerly wind, conditions at Manta Arch and Shark Gutter moorings were great for the first dive today. Manta Arch had a few sharks around the gutters near the arch and at least 15 in the back gutter.
Dive 2 had “Wildfin’s” divers check out the Gap after mixing it with the mass of Grey Nures sharks in the back gutter. “2 Wild’s” divers drifted from Cleaner Station to the Gantry and enjoyed a few Grey Nurse Sharks as well as the usual mix of schooling fish. They also had a special viewing of a big Wobbygong with a mouthful of a poor little Wobbygong. (Pic by Deb)
Congrats to Lou in becoming a PADI Deep Diver and Ray and Iveta completing the PADI Shark Awareness Specialty.
