5th June 2022 – Vis Improving At South Solitary Island
Calm conditions made for a quick trip out to South Solitary this morning on “2Wild”. Dive one had all divers drop in at Shark Gutters, amongst the marine life on this dive were three Grey Nurse Sharks in the Third Gutter, Black cod, Moray eels, Nudibranchs and a big schools of Surgeon Fish. We also saw Green Turtles on this dive. Hot soup was the go for our surface interval. Taking advantage of a small current, Dive two was a drift from Shark Gutters to the Gantry. Highlights on this Dive were more Grey Nurse Sharks down North Boulder Wall, Eagle-rays, Wobbegong Sharks, schools of Silver trevelly, Blue Fusiliers. Stuart shot a small video of Barney our local loggerhead Turtle having morning tea.
