7th January 2025 – Unexpectedly amazing conditions
With unexpectedly mild conditions Megawild loaded up and powered out to South Solitary Island for today’s diving!
First up saw our divers descend on Buchanan’s Wall, we were welcomed to the bottom by a sleepy Turtle, there were a number of different Shrimp along the wall, a baby Yellow Box Fish, Moral Eels and a Thorny-Back Cowfish showing of its flourecent blue colours.
Dive two was a split drift. Our more experienced divers went from Manta Arch, through the gap to The Gantry whilst the others went from Shark Gutters drifting down to The Gantry.
All divers had an epic time and seen loads of marinelife including Grey Nurse Sharks, Turtles, Bullrays, Eagle Rays, Wobbegongs, Glass Shrimp, Painted Crayfish and huge schools of fish.
Visibility 15-20m
Temp 23-24C
