22nd January 2025- Aquarium at Warm south Sol
After a bit of a break due to the recent swell and winds that hit the east coast, So Wild was ready to head back out to South Solitary Island for a double dive this morning.
Dive one was at Buchanans wall and dive two was a drift from Shark Gutters to the Gantry. Buchanans Wall had some Wobbegongs, Moorish Idols, Peppermint Shrimp, a Spindle Cowry, Green Turtles, and some nudibranchs. Dive two showed much improved surface and underwater conditions. The whole of Boulder Wall was full of fish life and schooling fish, it was mesmerising! Green and Hawksbill Turtles were seen crusing around the gap, a Leopard Shark hanging around the sandy patch, a school of batfish who surprised the students during their skills, yellow box fish, some Black Cod, and of course some more Nudi’s
