26th March 2025- mid week breaK
SoWild managed to get out this morning for a quick dip in the water to have a double dive. With a small boat of divers, we braved through the rain and got in for two dives on the top end of South Solitary.
Our more advanced divers jumped in the water at Manta Arch to meet the rest of our students around the corner at Cleaner Station. The second dive saw all of our divers getting in and getting out at Shark Gutters.
We had the best of both worlds today, lucky enough to see both Leopard Sharks and (8-10) Grey Nurse Sharks! As the season comes to a close, we are very lucky to have seen 3-4 Leopard Sharks on todays dive! A couple of different Ray species were seen, including massive Eagle Rays, Numb Rays, and some Blotched Fantail Ray. Three different Green Turtles were seen dancing with each other mid water column between the two top end moorings. The fish stole the show, with an abundance of schooling fish and pelagic fish swimming everywhere!! Anything from Barracuda, schooling Promfrets and Bullseys, Black Cod, and heaps more were some frequent sightings today.
Congratulations Coralie and Allan for completing your PADI Open Water Diver Course!
