With a smaller group of divers today, SoWild headed out to South Solitary, taking advantage of a short break in the wind. Although visibility had dropped since last week, the amount of marine life had increased dramatically. The nutrient-rich water brought activity from every direction, making for an exciting pair of dives. The clear highlight was a massive shiver of hammerhead sharks. Up to fifty scalloped hammerheads were seen cruising off the boulder wall.

Alongside the hammerheads, divers also spent time with around fifteen Grey Nurse Sharks gliding along the top of the wall. Green and Hawksbill turtles, a Queensland grouper, and several big bull rays were hanging around, adding to an already action-packed day beneath the surface.
