Finally catching a break in the weather after a few washed-out weeks, we were eager to get back out to South Solitary Island for today’s double dive. While the conditions were still a bit sloppy on top of the water, underneath was a different story. Absolute masses of schooling fish made for some epic diving. Cruising between these schools were tonnes of Wobbegong sharks, Eagle Rays, Bull Rays, and more!
Some divers were even lucky enough to see some straggling leopard sharks, which are slowly making their way back up north for the winter. An early Grey Nurse Shark, which are starting to arrive in numbers now as the waters start to cool down.
