Why choose a liveaboard in Palau???

We have had two Jetty Dive trips to Palau in the past, both were land based and had the definite disadvantage of competing with the large number of other day boats for the iconic dive sites like the “Blue Corner” and “Blue Hole”. On the SV Palau Siren, we will be diving these sites before the crowds arrive!

Why the SV Palau Siren?

Apart from being on a great boat, the SV Palau Siren has some definite advantages. Only 16 divers split into 4 groups per dive guide making an excellent way to have personalized diving. Roomy Twin Share airconditioned cabins, each with ensuite bathroom. The best part is we dive sites that are out of reach of the day boats.

SV Palau Siren

SV Palau Siren is a custom designed diving vessel with 8 cabins accommodating up to 16 guests and a crew of 12 including your dive team, skipper, boat crew and chefs. Inside she boasts a huge lounge and dining area with DVDs, large TVs and a dedicated camera area for our photographer guests. Spend time sharing your photos from your dive adventures, reading a book from our library or just chill out in air conditioned comfort.

Coral Reef, Sharks, WWII Wrecks and more…

Palau is world-renowned for its marine biodiversity and an abundance of large Pelagic animals. The area offers avid wreck divers one of Micronesia’s most extensive collections of WWII shipwrecks. From current swept plateaus to sheltered coral gardens, you will find an incredible range of diving for every level of interest and skill. The majority of diving is drift diving along the walls, plateaus and coral gardens of the outer reef, with the dive boat following along from the surface to meet you upon ascent.

Experience the unique history

Before and during WWII, Palau became a significant tactical advantage to the Japanese war effort. Subsequently, the American Navy launched operation ‘DESECRATE I’ on March 31, 1944, resulting in more than 60 ships being sunk. The wrecks rest at depths ranging from 20m to 40m.

World Class diving without diving with everyone in the world!

Experience the sites that make Palau one of the top dive destinations in the world:
the sharks of Blue Comer, the manta rays of Devilfish City and German Channel, and the coral reefs and stunning drop-offs teeming with marine life. This 10 night liveaboard adventure provides a mix of wreck diving, drift diving and night dives. Departing from Koror, the S/Y Palau Siren will dive the wrecks around Koror harbour before cruising to Ulong Channel and the Rock Islands and Ngerchu – for some speedy drift dives and Peleliu Island. Many of the channels have strong currents and reef hooks are an essential piece of diving equipment, however diving here is suitable for all levels of experience.

Easy Diving and Fantastic Live-Aboard value

Wake up, a light breakfast and then into the 30c temp water for your first dive of the day. After dive one, enjoy a full breakfast and relax before moving on for another Dive before lunch. After lunch we have another two dives before dinner. Nitrox is available (extra cost) and everything is catered for. Palau is known for magnificent corals along walls and passages, abundant fish-life and World War II wrecks.
