The Lotus Aqualung Lotus BCD for Women is a back inflation style BC designed specifically for women. This BCD incorporates Aqua Lung’s integrated Wrapture™ Harness System. Therefore, the Wrapture™ Harness System hugs the contours of the female body with specially curved shoulder straps and side lobes that provide a better fit. Integrated weights are held securely in place with the SureLock II™ mechanical weight system.
Features of the Aqualung Lotus BCD for women
- The Wrapture Harness System (pat. pend.) uses patented swivel shoulder buckles and an ultra-thin back plate. Providing unsurpassed comfort and stability, it prevents the BC from “riding-up” on the surface, keeps the cylinder close to your center of gravity, and transfers the weight to your hips. This results in the ability to stand up straight with a cylinder that is perfectly vertical.
- SureLock IITM Mechanical Weight Release System (patented). This allows you to easily insert weight pouches, with an audible “click” letting you know the weights are secure. Furthermore, a firm pull of the handle releases the weights. The back of the BC features non-ditchable weight pockets, which help the diver achieve proper positioning in the water.
- A bladder retraction system is used to pull in the sides of the bladder during deflation, and HP hose routings through the back help keep the unit streamlined and reduce drag. In addition, the Lotus i3 Buoyancy Compensator is designed just for women.
- The Aqualung Lotus BCD has an adjustable, removable chest strap to fit the BC to your, increasing personal comfort.
- The right lobe incorporates a clever octo-pocket, this secures the octopus while keeping it accessible and visible throughout the dive.
- The Lotus features two large, easy-to-access utility pockets on either side, and easy-to-access knife attachments on the left lobe, accommodating many of the Aqua Lung knives including the Squeeze BCD Knife.
- The BCD Features 4 stainless steel D-rings and 4 plastic D-rings (1 is located inside the left pocket) for all of your accessories.
- A Right shoulder pull dump provides an additional dumping option.
- Rolled neoprene neck collar for comfort.
- All sizes are capable of holding up to 30 lbs / 13.5 kg of lead weight.
