Description
The Ocean Armour Adults Hooded Towel Poncho are a must-have accessory for the avid diver, surfer, or water enthusiast.
Perfect for changing out of your wetsuit or swimmers, and made from quick-dry fabric, these Ponchos look beautiful while being incredibly handy! Each Poncho comes in a handy drawstring bag of the same design!
Fabric
Ocean Armour Hooded Towels are made from recycled polyester (rPET). This fabric is created with exiting materials such as plastic bottles and packaging. These materials are broken down into tiny pieces, then reformed into yarm which creates a recycled, sustainable fabric alternative. Ocean Armour then developed this fabric into a unique waffle weave.
This waffle-weave fabric has many benefits:
- Quick-drying – dries 3x faster than regular towel material
- Soft & absorbant – feels luxurious and can hold 5x its weight in water
- Antimicrobial – less washing & no damp odour
- Compact & Lightweight – folding to half the size of a regular towel
- Sand Free – One quick shake and any sand & dirt will fall off, so you can leave the beach where it belongs!
The creation of this fabric is much more environmentally friendly than standard polyester, using 90% less water, 70% less energy, and having an 80% lower carbon footprint.
Using this process, each poncho is 100% recycled, made from approximately 35 single-use plastic bottles.
Sizing
These ponchos come in three different sizes:
- S/M – Suitable for teens and females
- L/XL – Suitable for males and tall adults
- These ponchos are also available in kids – Size 6 – 9.
