11th October 2025- Macro Friendly Divers
With the temperature increasing this weekend, it was nice to cool off this morning in the water at South Solitary! Everyone definitely cooled down, as the water temp was pretty fresh! Visibility wasn’t fantastic but the energy on the boat made up for it!
As we had a northerly wind blowing onto the island, the Southern end of the island was the flavour of the day! Dive one saw everyone jump in at Buchanan’s Wall and Dive two was a swim from Buchanan’s Wall to The Gantry. Today was a very macro-friendly dive! We saw a heaps of different species nudibranchs (fan favourite was Jorunna Nudibranch), Porcelain Anemone Crabs, Spanish Dancers, Box Fish, Octopus, Wobbegongs, and Blue tangs. Some divers saw a Smooth Sting Ray and a Green Turtle!
