13th January 2026- Two for the price of one!
After a couple of days out of the water, Mega Wild powered out to the Solitary Island Marine Park to take advantage of the lull in the weather. Although the combination of today’s wind and swell forecast wasn’t ideal, we managed to get in the water for some great dives!
The top end of South Solitary was the flavour for today’s first dive! It was absolutely fish soup! Cleaner Rock and Shark Gutters had a mass of fish life swimming in schools and gave the divers an absolute show! Cleaner Station showed off with a massive Adult Box Fish. Although we see them year-round, we tend to see a bit more of them at this time of year as it’s when the eggs hatch.
After a quick drive over to Grouper (Southwest Solitary Island), SoWild saw divers jump in at Crazy Maze for their second dive. It’s always a lovely mix up going over to Grouper, and there is always a lot to see.
