13th October 2025- Grey Nurses out and about
We headed out to South Solitary again, with a small number of divers on the boat but everyone was big energy! Grey Nurses were out and about, all jam packed inside of the gutters on the top end. Big schools of fish have been loving the low vis lately, with fish like barracauda, jewfish, pomfret, tarwhine, batfish, surgeonfish, goat fish and more schooling in the gutters. Lots of Black Cod out and about around Cleaner Rock as well. A massive Bull Ray was seen in the same spot as yesterday, but with a wobbegong having a snooze next to him! They sure know how to practice a good buddy system! Manta Arch had half a dozen sharks swimming through it, so the top end of the island did not disappoint today!
