15th March 2026 – South Solitary at it’s best

After a week out of the water due to rough weather, we were all very excited to get back into the water, and the wait did not disappoint! We were greeted by amazingly blue water and warm temperatures, a great thing to see after the unusually cold conditions last week. There was a slight current on the surface at Shark Gutters for the first dive, but underwater, the sea life was going off! Huge schools of fish and amazing clear water made for an exceptional dive.

Dive two, we took advantage of the current and did a drift dive from the top end of the island all the way down to the Gantry. This was the dive with action, around six to seven leopard sharks, eagle rays, turtles, including a rarer loggerhead turtle, which were all seen during the dives.
